WamiAgro’s innovation is the combined solutions to the three problems identified for smallholder farmers, and the platform to coordinate them. We provide inputs on credit (such as seeds, fertilizer and mechanization services) to allow farmers to start the growing cycle with everything they need. We accept repayment in the form of the agricultural produce harvested and also aggregate the surplus produce from our farmer networks, which we sell to food and beverage distributors, animal feed processors and bulk food distributors. We build the capacity of our farmers by providing weather information and training in best agricultural practices, thereby enhancing productivity and resilience to climate change.
