Description

The mission of the Mobile Alliance for Maternal Action is to engage an innovative global community to deliver vital health information to new and expectant mothers through mobile phones. Our guiding principles are scale, sustainability, and impact and we operate programs in Bangladesh, South Africa, India and Nigeria. Launched on Mother's Day 2011 by former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, MAMA is an innovative public-private partnership between the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Johnson & Johnson, the mHealth Alliance, the United Nations Foundation and BabyCenter.
