Leap Skills

Founded in 2013, Leap Skills is a social enterprise in the skill development sector which aims to deliver high-impact skills training to youth from low-income backgrounds and enable them to access aspirational job opportunities.

After surveying 4000+ students across small towns & rural areas of the state of Haryana ourselves, we noticed that 68% of students wanted government jobs which had very low conversion rates of 1-5%. Students, parents & teachers had limited awareness about industry needs, leading to a skewed understanding of the opportunities present in the private job sector. Student expectations from their careers were set very low and educators were unable to update their pedagogy and introduce tech-enabled solutions that allow for customized learning at scale. Leap set out to address these issues.

Leap Skills’ solution is a blended platform designed to identify the gap between student ability & employer skill needs and bridge the same by modularizing our programs and delivering highly demanded workplace & sector-specific skills, aided by technology. Our students are first-generation college goers and first-time job seekers from non-tier 1 cities. We provide them with mentorship and guidance through in-class training and improve their awareness levels. Over the past 5 years, we have trained over 32500 people across 13 Indian states. Our students work in companies like Amazon India, TCS, Wipro etc.
