734coffee
734 coffee creates awareness of the world refugee crisis and establishes strategic humanitarian partnerships to empower displaced people to become self-sufficient for long-term sustainability.
Description
734 Coffee is produced in Gambela; a region situated between South Sudan and Ethiopia in East Africa. The mission of the coffee is to 1). bring awareness of the refugee crisis in South Sudan and Ethiopia, 2). promote economic vitality by bringing jobs to the region, and 3). re-invest in education by providing scholarships. Our venture aims to address the refugee crisis primarily through our scholarship program. Many refugees have the potential to succeed in school but lack the financial backing to complete their education. The average cost of education in that region ranges from $300.00 - $4,000.00 USD per year. Our goal in the next 5 years is to comfortably sponsor 150 high impact refugees yearly and induct them into a fellowship that will, in turn, help future recipients. Our investment in their education through the sale of coffee from their neighborhood is a human investment. We are creating an economic cycle to disrupt the poverty and refugee crisis in South Sudan and Ethiopia.
