Description

Cropital is a crowdfunding platform where anyone can lend capital to support a smallholder farmer and get a return on their investment. Cropital focuses on extending affordable credit to smallholder farmers from hard-to-reach areas, many of whom rely on loans from informal sources that charge 10-30% in interest a month. In addition to financing, Cropital provides support services that can help farmers reduce their risk and improve their yield. This includes access to insurance, technical support at the farm, and market matching. To date, we have reached more than two thousand farmers in the Philippines.
