Comprehensive Design Services (CDS) designs, engineers, and builds affordable green homes in Nigeria, utilizing local materials, labor, and technology. The housing units are bio-climatically designed to be 70 percent energy-efficient, self-cooling, solar-powered, and water sufficient. Houses are solar-powered, utilizing the abundant sunshine sunshine that is available. Water is sourced onsite and pumped up using solar power. Affordability is achieved by keeping the units compact and land is efficiently used by aggregating units around courtyards.
