An estimated 780 million people around the world and 97 million people in India do not have access to clean, potable water. They face serious risk of various water borne diseases and fatality. AquaSafi was set up to provide these underprivileged across the developing world with access to safe drinking water while opening up employment and micro-entrepreneurship avenues. AquaSafi provides sustainable water treatment systems to rural villages, starting with India. It does so under varying partnership models with the local village Panchayats or leadership, NGOs, and small scale entrepreneurs. In the last 3 years of operations, AquaSafi has reached a scale of serving affordable and safe drinking water to 100,000 people every day in India. It has also created around 300 jobs in the regions of its operations.
