Description

CCSOMO's Social Enterprise provides construction job training, fee-for-service or grant funded home repairs, and affordable housing to low-income households. CCSOMO construction team partners with Workforce Investment Board (WIB), Unions and a local community college to provide construction pre-apprenticeship classes and certifications and CCSOMO also provides soft skills, budgeting and case management services. This is followed by on-the-job (OJT) construction training on CCSOMO home repairs, building projects and rentals with the goal of trainees developing marketable skills and a work history that leads to living wage jobs.
